Righteous Sunglasses – by Karen Walker
I haven’t made my mind up about these sunglasses. They’re either uber-cool, or uber-fucking-ridiculous. It’s actually a bit hard to tell without seeing these Righteous Sunglasses by Karen Walker on an actual human being. But then again, who ever though that those ridiculous Kanye West inspired plastic shutter shades would sell like hot cakes?
At $329.95 from Pitbull Mansion, you’d want to be pretty confident with these sunglasses before laying down enough cash to buy 33.16 Domino’s pizzas (in other words, enough money to feed you for a couple of weeks).
What do you reckon….would you wear ‘em?
9Five Sunnies
I try not to waste too much time looking at gear online that is tucked away in some unreachable little store on the other side of the world.
Problem is, sometimes Brisbane is a bit limited in what it has to offer, especially when it comes to sunglasses. It’s easy enough to find a pair of Ray-bans or Carreras at your local Sunglass Hut, but for a pair of sunnies that is a little more unique sometimes you have to look to the horizon for something a little less run of the mill.
I just happened upon the 9Five sunglasses brand, based out of San Diego. They make some pretty darn tasty eyewear.
Before you jump to any drastic conclusions to the tune of ‘yeah the sunnies are sweet, but they’re in friggin San Diego you dick’, you might take a little delight in knowing that a few Aussie retailers have already starting stocking 9Five specs. If you’re keen for a new pair of shades, here’s the list of Australian 9Five Retailers.
If you can’t be arsed moving from your comfy armchair right now, then you can also buy them online from our good friends at US-based super-dooper-online-streetwear-store-on-roids Karmaloop.com (they ship globally).
